Opening Services:
Inspect the pool area and remove any trash
Collect and store toys, towels, clothing, etc.
Blow off the pool deck
Open and store pool and spa covers
Vacuum the pool to remove debris
Skim the pool surface
Test pool water and record chemical levels
Balance chemicals as needed
Ensure automatic chemical feeders are working and set appropriately
Empty poolside trash bins
Clean and empty skimmer baskets
Check and clean pump baskets
Inspect filter pressure and clean or replace as needed
Inspect and replace filter cartridges if necessary
Check flow rate (GPM) of the pool system
Check and record water temperature
Clean and tidy poolside bathrooms and empty trash
Monitor water circulation
Closing Services:
Pick up and dispose of trash
Collect and store toys, towels, clothing, etc.
Arrange poolside furniture and ensure everything is in order
Secure pool and spa covers
Properly store any removable items (e.g., spa covers, chairs)
Miscellaneous Services:
Schedule routine health inspections as required
Monitor weather for lightning, wind, and/or rain; take action as necessary (e.g., re-clean,
close cover) In case of contamination (e.g., feces in the pool): Evacuate the pool
Remove contaminants and sanitize the area
Shock the pool water with the appropriate chemicals
Restrict pool access for 8-12 hours to ensure proper sanitation
Retest chemicals and reopen the pool once it’s safe
Pay required fees for pool season opening and closing
Arrange, clean, and store poolside furniture
Monitor and replenish pool chemicals as needed
Stack and store chemicals appropriately
Open and prepare the pool for the season, including:
Reassemble feeders and filters
Ensure pumps, heaters, and other equipment are operational
Turn on water for any associated fixtures (e.g., showers)
Clean and organize poolside furniture
Close and secure the pool at the end of the season, including:
Store poolside furniture and equipment
Turn off water and any gas-powered equipment
Remove any seasonal signs and clocks
Winterize the pool and spa with appropriate chemicals
Drain and disassemble pumps and filters as necessary
Additional Pool Services (at No Extra Charge):
Replace or maintain chemical feeders and related components
Clear or replace chlorine lines
Replace probes, seals, and valves as necessary
Maintain or replace pressure gauges
Replace or service various pool system parts as needed
